A boy and his mother with a special bond are seen planting a tree together.  Years later, the boys mother passes and the tree, now fully grown, becomes his friend and they do everything together.  As the years go by, the boy continues to come back to the tree and the tree willingly gives the boy anything he asks, whether it be branches for shelter or a log to build a boat and see the world.  The boy is now an old man and the tree is now a stump, the man asks the tree why it continued to be so kind to him even when he stopped coming back to play.  The tree tells him to look down and he sees a yellow flower that was the same flower as the ones placed on his mother's grave.  The man realizes that the tree is his reincarnated mother.  The whole idea of the story is a mother's unconditional love.
